During the war, they were neighbors (always together). After July 14th, all the men who weren't married were going to be drafted. So on July 13 her father and mother got married. Her mother was not easy to approach. Private woman. When she wanted her children to learn something, she ???. She was interested in things. She was a good cook. She showed us how to cook. How did she learn to hook: As the house was already built. (Aunt Yvonne, her sister, hooked). Violette would have learned to hook, along with her sister Stella. She did it to contribute to the home and their income. She hooked to give back to the household. Around 26 years old, at her marriage, she would have learned to hook.
