Biography:Shirley Lewis was born in a village fifteen miles from St. Stephen. When she was single, she lived in Rollingdam and Saint John (nursing school 1954). After graduation, she and a friend went out to Vancouver to work in the Chilliwack Children's hospital. She also lived in Pembroke, Ontario, Moncton while working as a VON and Montreal. Shirley married in 1961 and they lived in Shediac Cape, St. Stephen, Saint John, Richibucto, and Fredericton. Her husband worked with Immigration. Shirley is a member of the Quilters Guild with her friend Helen Steeves but she doesn't quilt. She took a beginners hooking course from the Heritage Guild at Forest Hill in 1990 and an advanced course in 1991. Shirley participated in Heritage Mat Guild Shows. Her two sisters hook, one lives in Rollingdam and the other in Saint John.
