| Biography: | Peggy Downing McNaughton has English and Irish ethnic influences. She lived in Moncton and Fredericton, New Brunswick, Saskatoon and Saskatchewan before moving to Saint John, New Brunswick in 1972. She was a kindergarten teacher, housewife and mother. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, skating, gardening, cooking, reading as well as rug hooking. She started hooking mats in 1973 and was taught by Lil Harley who learned from Shirley Hennesay in 1973. |
