| Biography: | Nina Gertrude Kierstead Ward was the daughter of Charles Kierstead and Bertha Estella Berry. She married James Nelson Ward on May 1, 1912 and moved to Wards Corner from 1912 to 1935. She went as far as the eighth grade in school then taught school briefly before her marriage. The family had a farm. She entered her needle work and jams in local exhibitions and did not believe in education for women. She was buried at McKees Mills Cemetery. |
