| Biography: | Minnie Briggs was born in Stilesville, New Brunswick but lived in Moncton most of her life. She worked at Marven's Biscuits where she lifted the hot cookies by hand. She also took in boarders from the community college. She was instructed to hook by Jenny Beers. She made at least two mats and the current owner remembers her mother hooking. A neighbour attended the course with her and a sister may also have hooked. |
