Biography:Margaret Loretta Retta Brawn McCracken was the daughter of Henry Alexander Brawn and Jane Nixon. Her mother was a Scottish immgrant. She was the oldest girl of six and helped raise her siblings when her mother died young. She married Arthur Coal McCracken, a CPR linesman and moved to Fredericton Junction in 1913. They raised seven boys and three girls.
