Biography:Daughter of Henry B.S. Birch and Bertha Burrows, she married Thomas Nisbet in Prince Edward Island ad lived in Tyle Valley most of her life. She was the mother of eight children. She lived in New Brunswick during her eighties and nineties. She most likely learned to hook from her mother and she would hook mts during the winter months - it was both a therapy and a pastime. Sh usually hooked mats using worn-out clothing but only used rug hooking wool once she was in New Brunswick.
