Biography:Lalage Louise Vallis Doney was an only daughter and probably learned to hook mats from her mother. In 1909, she married Moses Judson Doney (1874-1961) and they began to farm. They moved to Long Reach, NB, in 1909 until 1926 when they moved to Codys, NB. She sometimes attended the Baptist Church. She quilted, braided rugs, and knitted.
