| Biography: | Irene Robichaud Melanson was the daughter of Amedie Robichaud and Annie Richard. She married Philippe Melanson on September 27 (or November 24) 1938 and they raised four children. She grew up in the family home which was built by her grandfather. She finished her grade eight education and her teacher tutored her on the ninth grade curriculum. Irene sat on the board of the Home and School for many years. She also did free-lance for L' Evangeline. Her mother also hooked. |
