| Biography: | Frances Ellenora Colpitts was one of eight children of Edgar Colpitts and Eva Elenora Welling. She was educated at the local superior school and graduated from the New Brunswick Normal School in Fredericton. She taught school in Butternut Ridge, Pleasant Vale, Penobsquis, Glen Falls and Petitcodiac High School. She attended summer School for many years at Mount Allison. She took a tour of Europe and loved bus tours and trips. Frances belonged to the local Anglican Women's Group. She later cared for her father after he had a stroke and was bedridden for ten years. Her mother died in 1948. She was a very good math teacher. As well, she did latch hook and painting. |
