Biography:Hooker's place of residence: Village/town and city Location of residences: Benton (before marriage), Grand Falls, NB, c. 1909-1912; St. Stephen, NB, c. 1914-1923 and Saint John, NB, after 1927. Ethnic influences: Unknown Occupation: Was a teacher before marriage It is currently unknown how the hooker learned and from whom, but it is thought that she had been hooking mats for a number of years. The hooking was mostly done for family use. She was married in Fillmore, Saskatchewan, in 1908.
