| Biography: | Ellen Henderson was 93 years old when the mat was registered; she was the eldest of nine children and has lived in Norton, New Brunswick since 1941; she worked for NB Tel for 25 years then worked at the Post Office in Norton; her mother taught her to hook mats at age 10; none of her siblings hooked mats; has always hooked at home as well as quilting; she has taught others how to hook; she hooks for creative expression and has joined the Sussex Tea Room Hookers rug hooking group. |
