Biography:Nellie Alberta Bertie Neales McKiel Morehouse was the daughter of a clergyman, Rev. William LeBaron McKiel. She married Dr. Oscar Emery Morehouse, on 17 June 1890 about five years before the family home was built in Upper Keswick. Bertie was outgoing and loved to entertain the well to do of the community in the Bishops Room, named after Dr. Bishop, an MLA. She died in childbirth.
