Biography:Dorothy Wooster Shephard went to school in Moncton, New Brunswick, then moved to Fredericton, then moved to Saint John, NB where she lived for 41 years; moved to Sussex, New Brunswick in 2004; worked as a stenographer; learned hooking from Lil Harley in 1982-1983 while living in Saint John; other hobbies include sewing, playing and teaching piano, as well as singing in the church choir;continues to hook with the Tea Room Hookers in Sussex; her paternal grandmother hooked rugs; Dot inherited her grandmother's mats and rug hooks; the mats were sold in a garage sale, but she has kept the hooks.
