| Biography: | Catherine Ann MacDonald Keenan was the daughter of a country doctor and spent her early years in Welsford, NB. She was the eighth of ten children. She was educated as a school teacher and taught in Smithtown, Enniskillen, and Milford in New Brunswick. She taught for two terms in Wetaskkiwin, Alberta, near Edmonton, in the Red River area. She rode on horse back to school. She later lived in Saint John and then married July 23, 1928 in Petersville, New Brunswick. She moved to Gondola Point in the 1950s. She quilted, loved to read, knitted and hooked. She even sold her mats to a man who saw them online. |
